Welcome to Hussey & Co
The Considered Kitchen
I don’t just tidy your cupboards or hand you a recipe — I help you understand why your kitchen feels like hard work, then fix it properly. Equipment that earns its space. A layout that matches how you actually cook. Menus built around your life, not someone else’s Instagram feed.
What ties all of this together is the same thing I bring to my clients now: an understanding that a kitchen isn’t just a room for cooking in — it’s a place people should actually want to be. Whether that means reorganising a chaotic cupboard, building a menu plan that finally makes weeknight cooking easy, or simply helping you feel more confident with what you have already. I’m here to help you enjoy your kitchen again — as a cook, a host, or just someone who lives in it.
Practical, thoughtful help — from someone who’s spent a career making kitchens work for the people in them.

Cooking Guidance
Hands-on teaching, paced to you. Learn techniques properly, ask the questions you’ve always been embarrassed to ask, and actually enjoy the process.
About Me
Growing up with a single working mother the kitchen had to have purpose and functionality. I spent holidays with my grandmothers who had more time to share with me their love of entertaining. The first time I saw a meringue made, simple egg whites and sugar turned magically into delicious white clouds of sweetness I was hooked.
After training at Leiths School of Food and Wine in 2005, I started my own private catering business and quickly understood that learning how to make someone else’s kitchen work, quickly, was very much part of the job. It was natural to answers peoples questions informally on what would make their space work better. From which plates to what equipment would I recommend.
From there, I went on to manage some wonderful restaurants — Petersham Nurseries and Sonny’s in Barnes among them — before setting up the catering for London’s Donmar Warehouse, feeding an incredible team of staff and a rotating cast of fantastic actors. Again people would ask the same questions about menus, planning and their own kitchen issues. And importantly I loved sharing my experience.
